The trailer for Home Sweet Home Alone has prompted mixed reaction, with many scratching their heads as to why there's a Home Alone reboot. The new film will be exclusively available to watch on Disney+ on Disney+ Day, on Friday, November 12 - sign up to Disney+ here. The Home Alone reboot’s trailer quickly shows a 30-years-older Buzz McCallister as a police officer who gets called in to check out suspicious individuals in a wealthy neighbourhood. One original character who does make an appearance though is Buzz, played by Devin D Ratray. The original wet bandits Harry and Marv, played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, have been replaced by married couple Pam and Jeff Fritzovski, played by Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney. Ten-year-old Max Mercer, played by Archie Yates, must work to defend his home from a married couple who arrive there to steal a priceless heirloom.

This Disney+ reboot is being directed by the talented and hilarious Dan Mazer and Im hoping that the movie will provide us with a laugh or two. The trailer showcases a large and chaotic family who get themselves into some sticky situations ahead of a holiday to Tokyo only to discover that, in their haste, they have accidently left one of their children behind. Home Alone Yates, who many assumed would be the new Kevin McCallister, is instead going to be a kid named Max a totally new character that I know were all excited to see. It is the sixth instalment in the Home Alone franchise, and serves as a reboot - of course there are some modern twists though. The new adaptation directed by Dan Mazer is based on the same story of Home Alone which starred a young Macaulay Culkin. She became a judo champion and represented the United States at the 19.

Home Sweet Home Alone is a modern take on the 1990 film and stars comedian Aisling Bea, Archie Yates, Ellie Lemper and Rob Delaney. Hillary Wolfs acting career was short-lived, with Home Alone 2: Lost in New York being her last on-screen role. A new remake of the Christmas classic Home Alone is coming to Disney+.
